One of the most interesting, post-Stańko proposals of jazz trumpeter Piotr Schmidt, recorded in October 2020 during the deep lockdown with the rhythm section of Niedziela, Garbowski, Gradziuk supported by guests from overseas: Walter Smith III on saxophone and Matthew Stevens on guitar. An extraordinary album, which due to the times in which it was born did not have a large number of concerts promoting it. A proposition for those looking for something exceptionally magical.

Piotr Schmidt's latest album exemplifies the artists' uncommon musicality. Calmly and with little drama, they create an enchanted mood, composed of exquisite sound, varied textures and a plethora of interesting detail. It is a work of perfect teamwork, mutual understanding and partnership. A solid chunk of beautiful music.

"Dark Forecast" is built in a similar mood to the album dedicated to Tomasz Stańko, where the lyricism of jazz is a mood that is developed by the entire band, and the trumpeter is an outstanding soloist who plays with the melody, adding to it everything that makes an often banal and simple composition into an expanded, artistically creative form. It cannot be otherwise, when the band includes personalities with extraordinary and extensive potential, innate expressiveness and impeccable technical virtuosity.
